Oxnard California is the definition of a 4 season destination. With beautiful weather year round you really can’t pick a wrong time to go! Wether that’s soaking up the sun on the beaches during the summer, watching the Whales during the winter, or adventuring out to Channel Islands National Park during fall!

This property is located on the stunning Mandalay Beach. Multiple on property restaurants, spa, bike rentals, access to Mandalay Beach, on site pool, and plenty more. Zachari Dunes could be a vacation itself and we couldn’t recommend it enough.
Closest Major Airport
We flew into LAX for this trip! This was located about one and a half hours from Oxnard and made for a great major airport to fly in and out.

We said it before and it’s worth saying again, but Zachari Dunes is a vacation in itself! Beautiful beaches, sand dunes, bike paths, spa, and incredible restaurants, you need to take some time out of your trip to really enjoy this property.
Visit Channel Islands National Park
Oxnard California is the closest port to tours leaving for Channel Islands National Park! CI Expeditions is who we recommend going with. We took the tour to Anacapa Island, which is home to the most sea caves per square mile in the world. The tour itself lasts roughly 3 hours, with 1.5 hour boat rides there and back. This is a must see area not only near Oxnard, but in all of California.
Once you arrive in Oxnard California you will quickly realize what makes this town special. It has become on our of all time favorite destinations and one that we can’t wait to go back to and experience more! We were there for a weekend and this wasn’t near enough time! This is such a hidden gem of California and needs to be on your list of must see spots!
